There are many causes for a nasty occurrence of Diarrhea in children. One very common reason can be too much convenience or fast foods. Using real food is an easy, natural way to get your child’s system back in order as quickly and painlessly as possible. This recipe is a simple meal children love. We have used it for years, it hasn’t failed me yet.
Ingredients:
1 cup organic white rice
2 cups water or chicken broth
1 Tbsp. butter
salt and pepper, if desired
1 cup chopped chicken- use either baked chicken or any type of white chicken meat
Directions:
1. Cook rice in broth with butter until liquid is absorbed (for cooking times follow directions on package)
2. Add chicken to warm rice
3. Season with salt and pepper
Other foods for children with diarrhea:
bananas
apple sauce
toast
water
plain white rice, cooked
Gatorade
fruit juice- in small amounts
