I’m always looking for ways to use my berries up right before they go bad. This is the perfect way to toss the not-as-perfect berries in for a wonderful, real food dessert!
Recipe
2 c. blackberries , strawberries and blueberries (any mixture of berries would do nicely)
1/8 c. raw sugar (see note)
Mix together put in casserole dish, set aside
*Note: I like to run my raw sugar through the coffee grinder to make it more fine.
1/8 c. raw sugar
1 Tbsp. molasses
Mix to make brown sugar
¾ c organic oats (I used old fashioned)
¼ c whole wheat flour
¼ tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. butter, softened
Directions
Mix remaining ingredients, except butter in med bowl. Cut in butter. Mixture will look crumbly.
Pour on top on of berries. Bake 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
Serve alone or with homemade whipped cream.
