Better Baby Bums Non-toxic Disposable Diaper Review (and Giveaway)

Better Baby Bums gave me the opportunity to try two of the newest non-toxic disposables on the market in the U.S.  I wasn’t sure quite what to expect as far as performance was concerned, but I was super excited to learn of biodegradable alternatives to the same old mainstream disposables.

I’ve been using them for both for a while now and it’s no secret that I love them!  Bambo Nature is my favorite, but only by a little over Broody Chick.

The Fit

Both types are only slightly inferior to Huggies, Pampers and Luvs in fit, but they’re WAY better than the cheaper brands of regular diapers like Parent’s Choice (Walmart brand), and they’re also better than medium-priced diapers like Up & Up (Target brand).

The Function

I was shocked to find that both Bambo and Broody Chick easily hold as much as the expensive diaper brands.  There’s absolutely no difference in absorbency, and I haven’t had one of them leak yet!

The Final Comparison

Compared to the 10 out of 10 I’d give Huggies, Pampers and Luvs for absorbency, leak protection and fit, I’d give Bambo a 9.5 because of the slight issue with fit, and I’d give Broody Chick a 9 for the same reason.  But if I added in the biodegradable, compostable and non-toxic aspects of them, I’d have to give them a full 10 out of 10.  And of course Huggies, Pampers and Luvs would plunge drastically to a 3 (or less) because they’re total junk in those areas.

You can bet I’ll be making the switch!  I’m so grateful to the moms behind Better Baby Bums for opening up a whole new world for me as a disposable diapering mom!
