About Us

Who are we?  Four sisters and our Mom.  We’re best friends.  We’re co-workers.  And we’re serious about raising healthy kids the natural way!

Alicia is the oldest girl.  She’s a nurse by trade and a medical research geek.  The Soft Landing, LLC is her brainchild.  Her best ideas always happen while she’s sleeping.  Go figure.

Joanie is girl number two.  She was born to cook and is a mad scientist in the kitchen.  She has experienced great success with baby led feeding and now teaches others to bring baby back to the kitchen table for unprocessed meals with the whole family.

Laura is girl number three.  She’s had years of experience as a manager in the restaurant industry.  She was born to handle The Soft Landing’s Customer Service Dept.  She’s also a researcher extraordinaire, believer in extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping and an alternative health advocate.

Becky is the baby girl.  She worked her way to the top of the restaurant industry as a chef, and now uses her amazing skills to keep TSL inner workings running smoothly.  She and Joanie are the foodies of the family – planning our family gatherings and meals, and concocting simple, healthy recipes that even the worst cooks (like Laura and I) can handle.

Pat is our Momma.  She’s the Boss (or so she says – because she gave birth to us).  She’s our mentor and motivator.  She broke the mold in the 1970′s when she followed her sister Jane’s lead and left the formula behind against her pediatrician’s advice.  She made sure we ate whole foods growing up, teaching us the value of real, not fake food.

And we can’t help but mention our Dad.  We nicknamed him the Can Do Man because there’s no problem he can’t solve, no project too big.  He taught us the value of integrity and work hard, thinking outside the box and testing mainstream thoughts against common sense and heavy duty research.  He also recovered from Agent Orange exposure with alternative health methods, taking the time to teach us the value of vitamins, herbs, homeopathic remedies and treatments (like sinus washing).  We all still call Dad for his recommendations when we catch a bug.
